Epistollary novels are made up of letters. Pamela and Clarissa are the examples of the epistollary novels. In these novels the narrator is the first person narattor. They sound convincing in their thoughts and emotions.
Between the naratting and experiencing I there is no big time difference. Joseph Andrews was written as a parody of Pamela. It reverses the gender roles. There is a boy who is in danger of being raped by two old women. Men were given sexual freedom. It was a satirical overview of the 18th century society.
